On Sunday, India will commence a three-match ODI series against the West Indies at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. The 2027 World Cup in South Africa is just over a year away. The commencement of the series signifies the commencement of India’s preparation phase for the tournament, during which the team will endeavour to secure its third World Cup title after suffering a defeat in the 2023 final.
